- mv_embed is a project to help transition to full ogg (audio/video) support in future versions of FireFox -- it is in fact a "meta" plugin that tries to detect what a particular browser supports and to select a player accordingly
- Flow Player A popular open source Flash-based player, lots of features and very scriptable
- Jeroen Wijering's FLV Player Popular Flash video player, open source
- Cortado A java-based player that makes cross-platform OGG/Theora Video playback possible, though unfortunately not without drawbacks (primarily have had some troubling experiences with losing sync when "scrubbing")
